The RACP has redesigned and developed new curricula across our Basic Training and Advanced Training Programs.
The new curricula follow a competency-based medical education framework.
The resources explain the changes to the new RACP curricula.
Trainees and supervisors will plan learning using the Rotation Plan. The resources listed below will help you to:
- use the new curriculum learning goals to plan learning
- map out learning opportunities
- complete and review a rotation plan.
The learning component of the learning, teaching and assessment (LTA) programs may include a variety of professional experiences and/or activities that can be documented in TMP. These are program specific and include logbooks, case reports, courses or professional experience requirements. Please refer to the program LTA for program specific information.
The following assessments will be used across all training programs in Basic and Advanced Training.
- Observation captures: an observed encounter
- Learning captures: trainee reflection on learning
- Progress reports: assessment of progress against the program learning goals
Progress Review Panels will be used in the new training programs to make progression decisions about trainees.
